Brooklyn is in the second most densely populated county in the entirety of the US and is the most populous borough of NYC (with more than 2.5 million residents).

Her areas are separated culturally (ethnic enclaves) - like having a "little italy" in Besonhurst, and a large african american community also. This is probably due to her having been a huge place for immigrants - and even now there are huge numbers of different cultures there (including but not limited to Poland, Italy, China, Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad, Guyana, Grenada, Barbados, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Russia). Despite the influence from so many cultures she's kept her attitude very well over time and can be heard sprouting things from years back like "oy vey!", or "schmuck".

Most of her people trace back Italian heritage - which miiight be due to at at least five American mafia families being present in the borough. And even to this day, Brooklyn still has Sicilian mafia ties and is a main house for them. She's no stranger to violence and hiding things from the cops.

She's talented - arts, music, and makes a damn good bagel (though, she'll admit, its not quite the same as one you'll find in Manhattan). Also, she'll have newspapers piled around her often, if she's been sitting around somewhere but there really are too many for her to actually read - she's got a lot of media sources.

Brook doesn't try to hide that, like NYC, she's pretty damn egotistical - she won't acknowledge that she's the one with an accent even if others insist on it (she talks normally, okay; everyone else has an accent). And she could, and usually does, curse enough to put a sailor to shame.

She's a pretty tough girl (smoking, starting fights, cutting in line...) and will come off as rude in that way, and sometimes she actually just is rude, or too aggressive (and could probably beat the shit outta you and your puppy; watch your back). If something happens - a car crash perhaps, its certainly not her fault. And she'll constantly misinterpret things and get offended by it - maybe it's just for the sake of starting a fight, who knows. But when it comes to assisting someone in getting somewhere - Brook can help you; she's got a very healthy public transit system.

Somehow, in some way, she will at least have heard of your character - because she's got someone there with connections, even if its your mother's cousin's son-in-law's sister's boyfriend.

Brook is not a morning person. Do not fuck with her. If you're going to come and wake her it is wise to bring coffee and a breakfast special - and if you want to talk to her its wise to remember coffee no matter what time of day. She loves her coffee, muchly.

Sitting out in front of a building, holding an empty cup in her hand, like more coffee might form the longer she holds it. It's nearly midnight, and hardly warm, but her jackets tossed on the concrete next to her; doesn't seem like the most approachable person with the frown she's giving to - well, either everything at once or nothing in particular.
